Jackpot Dashboard Design for Slot Game Distribution
Project Overview
Jackpot is an innovative platform designed to distribute slot games via the internet, which are displayed on TV screens set up in physical mini-casino environments.
The challenge was to create a set of administrative dashboards that allow casino operators to manage multiple game displays efficiently and intuitively.
Challenge
The primary challenge was to design a user interface that could handle the complexities of managing numerous game displays while being intuitive enough for various user roles, including administrators and on-site casino operators.
Project Goals
- Simplify Management: Provide a simple yet powerful dashboard that allows operators to manage multiple screens and games effectively.
- User Role Flexibility: Enable different levels of access and control for various user roles, including administrators and clients (casino operators).
- Enhance User Experience: Ensure the dashboard is intuitive, with easy navigation and clear, actionable tools for setting up and managing game displays.
Implemented Solution
- Dashboard Layout: The design includes a clean, organized layout that prioritizes quick access to common tasks such as adding new displays, adjusting settings, and monitoring active games.
- Responsive Controls: Interactive elements like sliders for setting time and jackpot amounts, and dropdowns for selecting roles and games, ensure that making adjustments is straightforward and error-free.
- Visual Aesthetics: The dark theme with blue accents provides a professional and modern look suitable for the gaming industry, while ensuring that the interface is not visually overwhelming during extended use.
Features
- Account Management: Users can create and manage accounts with specific roles, define payment dates, and assign the number of displays a client can control.
- Display Configuration: Each client can configure individual game displays, set durations, coin amounts, and custom titles for jackpots directly from their dashboard.
- Operational Flexibility: The platform allows for detailed control over each display, including turning displays on or off and copying links for easy access to game screens.
- Error Handling and Feedback: Visual indicators and error messages guide the user through the process, providing clear feedback on actions such as saving settings or encountering issues.
Process and Methodology
Research
Conducted to understand the needs of casino operators and how they manage multiple game displays.
Wireframes and Prototypes
The design process focused on creating a user-friendly interface with a clear hierarchy, accessible controls, and responsive design elements.
A dark theme was chosen to suit the casino environment, with blue accents to provide a modern and professional look.
Visual Design
Opted for a clean, straightforward design that emphasizes usability. The design incorporates large buttons and clear text to facilitate quick interactions, suitable for users who may be on-site and possibly wearing work gloves.
